1: Decide where to place your grand piano

How big is the space? Which floor do you have? What materials are used in the space, are there many glass areas?
Each grand piano has its own sound character which comes into its own in the right environment. A very clear / sharp tone can quickly become too bright in an empty room with a lot of glass and a hard floor, for example…

2: Choose the grand piano length

An ‘open door’ but still important: The longer the grand piano, the fuller the tone and the louder the volume.
The length depends on your taste and the available space.

3: Determine your price range

Do you immediately opt for a top brand grand piano to play on for the rest of your life or do you choose a middle or entry-level class which you can later exchange for a better one?
