Yamaha B3 upright piano

With a height of 121 cm, the Yamaha B3 is not only the largest, but also the most complete upright piano of the B series in terms of sound. The full sound is due to the five support bars on the backside, which musically support the soundboard made of selected solid spruce. The Yamaha B3 piano is available in different colours.

Keyboard
Yamaha's keyboards are all produced in-house. The keys on Yamaha's B-series upright pianos are made from Sitka spruce. The wood is dried for 6 to 24 months and then further acclimatized in kilns. Since most of the wood in a piano key is not varnished, Yamaha keys benefit from the strict drying and acclimation procedures. Thanks to these stringent treatments, the keys will not be affected by changes in temperature and humidity.

Soundboard
The soundboards of the Yamaha B2 and B3 models are made of solid spruce which is sourced from North America, the seasonal temperatures and altitude there are ideal for growing high quality spruce.

Piano mechanism
Piano mechanisms must be able to withstand constant shocks, as well as changes in temperature and humidity. Yamaha uses its patented technology for drying and gluing maple - the most widely used material - for a highly accurate and durable action.
